Bonnie H. is a 47 year old single woman who lost her job and her unemployment has ended. “I own a home and my mortgage is only $486.12 a month, but because I have been out of work so long, my taxes on my home are delinquent. Also, the engine in my car went, so I had to use my real estate tax money to get another used car. I owe $3,324.00 and my home is scheduled for tax lien sale. Although I have a good credit score, I cannot get a home equity because I am not working. I have ONLY 3 1/2 years to pay off my house and hate to lose it because of delinquent taxes.
