Josephine D. is a 58 year old living solo with medical bills mounting up. “ Presently, I am unemployed and seeking employment. I used to work as a social worker for the past 7 years. I pay out of pocket a premium of 384.28. My mortgage is almost a thousand a month. Since my mortgage takes my weekly benefits, it is very tight at present. Since I have medical challenges I am presently charging medical to a credit card. Although I even have a college degree, jobs are still scarce. I am independent and worked very hard and even purchased a place of my own 12 years ago. I raised two children as a single parent and a grandmother in between. I received a GED at the age of 36 and graduated with a BSW at 46. I can\'t get any help w/medical and it has been big burden on me. I am trying different avenues in life and not putting all my eggs in one basket. I am very desperate, don’t want to lose my house.
