Harolyn J. is a single mother of a 16 year old daughter Lala, and 5 year old son, Nas, who are everything to her. “ I’m behind in rent and face homelessness because I have no resources and no one to turn to for financial assistance. Although I have several years of clerical experience, I have been unable to find stable employment in over a year since relocating to Georgia and being laid off. I have been getting by with a temporary job every now and then but every week has been a struggle and uncertainty on whether or not my rent will be paid. Even when rent gets paid there still are the miscellaneous things kids need, and today we are in great need. If my family would be so fortunate to get a donation that would allow for us to pay past rent and a couple of months in advance, that would give me the start that I need to find stable employment. I love my children and want nothing more than to support my kids and to continue providing them a safe, comfortable and loving home. I want to return to college by Fall 2012 as a Sr. Business Admin Mgmt. major. I look forward to the day when I can become a successful business owner and give back to those in a crisis such as I am today. Thank you”.
