Ashley is 25 years old, with 3 boys (Gage 7), (Kohl 5), and (Dakota 2). Their father is Ashley's fiancé. About two years ago, Ashley was the victim of a horrible personal experience that turned her life upside down. After a lengthy period of prolonged pain and recovery, she decided they needed a fresh start. They found a "fixer-upper"house in Ithaca, and used their savings to purchase it. They packed up everything and moved. Everything seemed to be going well. Then they found out they needed a new $6000 well. They could afford about half that amount and found someone to do it on a payment plan. Then their car died and they had to use the money for the well to fix the car. They have to buy gallons of fresh water from the grocery store to cook with, bathe, etc. They repeatedly reached out to social services but were denied help. "I have run out of options…. I need help! Some days I wake up feeling like a failure as a parent. My kids don’t deserve this. I really hate to think that they will grow up one day and remember all this. I would never ask for anything unless it was an emergency, and we are at that point. Anything would be a blessing. Even if you could say a prayer for our family, we would be grateful.”
