Cindy is a single mother of 2 boys, Evan, 15 and Will, 8. Cindy was a dental assistant for 15 years until she was in a serious car accident in 2002, while pregnant with Will (“he is a miracle”), that left her with back, neck and shoulder problems. She has chronic pain and was just diagnosed with Lupus. “I feel bad most days, but don’t want to give up because of my boys…you would never know just how much pain I am in… I do not want my boys to know just how bad I feel…” She is now behind in rent because she lost child support from her ex-husband. Cindy’s landlord just served her with an eviction notice, unless she pays her rent within 10 days. She cannot afford to move and she wants her boys to have a stable home. Her oldest son “stresses to me that he just wants a home, and does not want to move again. I feel sooo bad”
They need: $1000 for rent assistance; $500 grocery assistance; $500 for utility assistance
