Justina is a volunteer firefighter who, until recently, worked as a Phlebotomist at a local trauma hospital. Her husband, John, is an auto diesel technician. Justina quit working outside the home to care for her special needs kids. She has two biological daughters and an adopted daughter, ages 7, 5, and 5. They adopted their daughter after she was abandoned. They also care for Justina's 3 year old niece. Justina and John were high school sweethearts and have been married for 11 years. She says, “It was the best decision I had ever made. He is my best friend and an amazing dad and husband.” They are both very thankful for the emotional support of their community, her fellow fire fighters and church. They have been struggling with medical expenses after several surgeries and rounds of therapy for her oldest daughter and also hospital stays for her middle daughter. They get by just barely and there is no room for extras. John’s car broke and it will cost more to fix it than it is worth. He has to drive over an hour to get to work and has to have a car. Justina can’t take him because the hours conflict with school, sleep schedules for the girls, and doctor’s appointments. John is also in school and needs to be able to get to school. “It would mean a lot to get some help to get another cheap vehicle or get his fixed.”
They need: $2000 for a used vehicle; $1500 Medical Expenses; $1000 Basic Needs
