Ashley is a single mom of Nathan (3) and Reagan (9 months). She is a victim of domestic violence and finally left that relationship, but leaving came at a price. She was left with all of the bills and no car. She works for minimum wage at a retail job that is 30 miles from her residence. Her rent is $750 per month and she is 2 months behind and facing eviction next month. She is worried she will not be able to keep her job without transportation. Ashley’s son is already reading at 3, and she would love to send him to a good school soon. She refers to her kids as blessings sent from God. “My angels” keep me going in these hard times.
